  • Today is World FM Day, a Global FM initiative aimed at raising the profile of the facilities management industry and the dedicated professionals within it. A facilities department is the backbone of any Company, a department focused on making sure day-to-day operations run smoothly, promoting safer, cleaner and compliant spaces.

    May 16th, provides an opportunity for global knowledge sharing, to discuss experiences both positive and challenging, to promote our profession and celebrate its success. This is the 10th year of World FM Day and each year that goes by, the industry gets more and more recognition.

    This year the theme is “Enabling positive experiences” so, let’s remind ourselves just how important and integral your FM team are, to make certain that every employee, supplier, visitor and customer has a positive experience when interacting with your business.

    Facilities Management has come so far in the last 10 years of World FM day celebrations and is receiving increased acknowledgment across the globe. Facilities management is now considered a desirable career path and the number of apprenticeships have grown tremendously. FM as a career choice offers many opportunities with an interesting and varied role, where no two days are the same.
